How to install HDD 3.5 into a computer? Is there a video or photo instruction? Help please. Thanks!

Hi:

Chapter 4 of the service manual has the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

I find it odd that the service teardown video does not show a procedure to remove or install a 3.5" drive.

To be honest, I did not understand how to attach a hard drive to a PC design. Is there no fastener? What kind of round "wheels" (screws) are depicted on the HDD, what are they called, where can I buy them?

Does your PC's drive cage have the green release lever and the SATA power and data cables that attach to the hard drive?

Those aren't wheels on the hard drive.

Those are anti-vibration screws that you screw into the hard drive and the drive locks into place in the cage.

Usually, they can be found on eBay if HP hasn't included a set of them inside the case.

The info in the manual would be all the help I can provide.

I don't have your model PC, so I am not familiar with its specifics.

I have plenty of HP business desktops and as long as the parts are there to install a hard drive, it should take less than two minutes.
