Hello everyone, can you help me what should i do first before upgrading my Ryzen 3 Pro 2200G to Ryzen 5 Pro or a higher specs that compatible with my motherboard. thanks a lot guys.

Your HP EliteDesk 705 G4 SFF can be upgraded up to a Ryzen 7 PRO 2700X (105-watt TDP) or a Ryzen 7 PRO 2700 (65-watt TDP). Between the two, I would recommend the lower TDP Ryzen 7 PRO 2700.

Whatever processor upgrade you have in mind, all you need to do -and this is just a recommendation because upgrading a processor is essentially a plug-and-play affair, is to see if your PC got the latest drivers/BIOS versions: https://support.hp.com/my-en/drivers/hp-elitedesk-705-g4-small-form-factor-pc/21353680.

Make sure you use a decent quality thermal paste such as Arctic MX-4.
