I have 2 upgrade questions
1 Does G2 Mini support 1TB NVME ? (old tech guide says 256gb is max)
2 Does G2 Mini support Intel Core i7-6700K ? (old tech guide says 6700 is max)
Cheers !

@Johnbsc , welcome to the forum.
Q: 1 Does G2 Mini support 1TB NVME ? (old tech guide says 256gb is max) I believe the 1 GB drive should work fine. The other specifications match.
2 Does G2 Mini support Intel Core i7-6700K ? (old tech guide says 6700 is max) No, the "K" means that the processor can be overclocked and I don't believe that the HP BIOS will allow for overclocking.

@OG
Thanks for the welcome
Re 2) Yes i Know about the K, Intel XTU can handle the params, my main concern is heat, K is a 95W versus non K 65W,
but is all else the same?
For example I know that the g3 mini models can use 6th gen cpus that are found in g2 models, and I have seen 7th gen cpus in g2 models, so i figure as long as they conform to socket LGA1151 then should be good with the cooling issue addressed.

You are welcome, @Johnbsc!

A: Personally, I wouldn't take a chance with the "K" processor. Heat definitely will be a problem if you overclock it. I am an old overclocker and have seen many bad things happen in small cases. Oh, and be extremely cautious using XTU. It is not always reliable. I had it fry a processor and motherboard in an HP Omen desktop when I was following a guide provided by Intel. Not good!! Very expensive!!
