HP EliteDesk 800 G2 mini 35W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there a list of compatible M.2 SSDs for the HP EliteDesk 800 G2 mini? I have bought 2 different, Samsung EVO 850 250GB and ADATA 128GB, both 2280 (not NvME). So I wonder why none of them are recognized in bios and then later at Windows 10 instalation?

Can some or HP tell us which M.2 SSD works in this system? So everyone can buy the M.2 SSD which is recognized and works. I mean the exact brand and name / capacity of the M.2 SSD. Why else is there an M.2 slot for a SSD?

HP please respond.

Will this M.2 SSD work? HP S700 PRO M.2 128GB Internal SSD Solid State Drive - SATA 6Gb/s - 2LU74AA#ABC.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please post the HP product number for your PC. How to Find the HP Model Number and the HP Product Number or let HP automatically find your PC model number and HP network attached printers. This will allow others to review your issue, make suggestions and review your responses. This is usually the best way to get assistance.

HP doesn’t have an official presence on this forum other than for administration and moderation. The assistance that you receive is mainly from volunteers.

See if HP has a BIOS update for your particular model (your product number is unknown to the forum).

Use SIV to help determine the type on m.2 slot in your G2 mini.

@DonCor

HP hasn't posted any support information based on the specific product number for your HP EliteDesk 800 G2 mini 35W as the product lookup on the HP Support site fails to find any information.  Some information is available from HP via Google.

Review the posted HP information.  Review page 11 and 28 in this manual.

HP Part Surfer doesn't show any m.2 SSDs listed for your specific product number.

BTW--Be sure to create the HP recovery media for your PC.  You may need it.
