HP Recommended

The HDD fan is starting to die in my HP EliteDesk 800 G3 Mini. 

I think that part number is 914256-001. There's a sticker on the side of it. The fan also has a white connector.

However, searching the part number on eBay, Amazon, AliE, there seems to be a number of different versions. Some 4pin and some 5pin versions.

Which fan type do I need?

How many pins does the fan connector on the motherboard have?

 

Buy the fan that has the same number of pins as what is on the fan connector plug and the motherboard.

 

The HP parts list does not provide any details on the fan at all.
