HP EliteDesk 800 65W G4 Desktop Mini PC

Did HP manufacture a batch of these motherboards without a connector for the optional GPU card?

I would like to install the L21466-001 AMD Radeon RX560 4 GB GDDR5 graphics card.  However, where the connector on the card aligns with the motherboard, there is no connector on the motherboard, only two lines of solder joints where a connector would be.  Is there supposed to be a connector on the motherboard?

HP's documentation states that this expansion card is compatible with this motherboard.

Thank you for your assistance.

@johnplayerspec,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

You're correct, of course, that there are some HP EliteDesk 800 G4 DMs equipped with the GPU connector you are referring to, and then there are some without.  Speaking of the latter, thinking outside the box -literally, as it turned out, I decided to use an M.2 to PCIe adapter to connect an external graphics card like I did in this upgrade project: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrading-an-HP-EliteDesk-800-6....

Kind Regards,
