I recently purchased an HP EliteDesk 800 G8 on Amazon. It was supplied by a company called Tech Plus Pro. Unfortuately I didn't try and set this up until after the 30 day Amazon return policy. The computer is faulty and doesn't boot up. There is no serial number sticker on this computer. Does HP warranty this device I have purchased? How do I get support from HP with no serial number?

Will Amazon take a return on the PC?

HP won't provide any warranty service on it without a serial number (if it is still under warranty).

Depending on the option, some PC's come with one-year warranties and some come with three-year warranties.

Chapter 1, page 3 of the service manual indicates the product number and serial number are supposed to be on a label on the bottom of the case.

Thanks for your reply  Paul! No, Amazon won't take it back as I bought the unit 7 weeks and just got around now to try and install it. I'm sure the serial number is built in but if it won't boot I can't access it. There's no label on the unit. I have reached out to the seller but being a long weekend I haven't had a reply yet.

You're very welcome.

Yes, that is what I figured.

The S/N and product number of the PC can be read in the BIOS' system information screen, but since you can't get there, your hands are tied.
