Hi,
I kind of wanted to carry this post on under another post that has been closed for a while so I'm slightly annoyed that this wasn't an option. I am trying to upgrade the mxm gpu in my HP Elitedesk 800 G1 to use an Nvidia Quadro m2000m. MXM as a standard is a messy nightmare.
I have a 240w power supply, everything is running in UEFI under Windows 10. The top DisplayPort refuses to output anything until it arrives in Windows. To anyone who has made this journey this will all be painfully familiar. I suspect the DisplayPort issue more accurately reflects this problem https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/.
Anyway, at its core I think this is a vBIOS issue. I was hoping someone out there that has got this card working might tell me their model No., Vendor etc and possibly up load a vBios somewhere with GPU-Z. The device pretends to install and shows in Device manager so I'm confident it's not a whitelist issue, and HP allegedly stopped doing whitelisting in 2013 anyway.
Anyway, here's hoping someone hears my plea. Additionally I'd love to hear success stories about any mxm upgrades on this hardware. Thanks in advance.

The same issue. I am using laptop at home far away from Display so update vbios, now this working only if the discrete mode is enabled. Before the update, I was trying to backup vbios by nvflash but it failed as the flash was empty...
