Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey, I hope y'all are doing great. Let me get straight to the point. I recently got this EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF and I want to upgrade it for gaming. I would appreciate all of your suggestions on how to boost its performance. What's the highest supported graphics card for gaming? Also, could you recommend the cheapest 1TB SSD for this? Will it support 32GB DDR4 RAM? And finally, does it support the i7-11700K CPU? Additionally, is it possible to add another CPU cooler, or do I need to use the default one?

An HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF is a wonderful and upgradeable desktop platform -I should know, because it was one of my enthusiast upgrade platforms: Solved: Upgrading HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF - HP Support Community - 8545942, and a follow-up: Solved: Upgrading HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF Part II - HP Support Community - 8720291.

Let me quickly answer your questions:

1a.) If you choose to run a graphics card powered by a separate (synced) power supply, there is no limit to any graphics card, as you'll see in my links.

1b.) Btw, you can upgrade your power supply with either a 400-watt power supply (p/n: 942332-001) or a 500-watt power supply (p/n: L77487-003). The latter power supply comes with 2 x (6+2)-PCIe power cables.

2.) I wouldn't get the "cheapest" M.2 NVMe SSD for your primary (boot) drive, as it is a vital component to make your desktop run well and reliably.  Here is an Amazon-India M.2 NVMe SSD Crucial purchase example priced at 5,550, which is about $67: Amazon.in: Buy Crucial P3 1TB PCIe 3.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 3500MB/s - CT1000P3SSD8 Online at....

3.) Yes, your desktop is compatible with 4 x 8GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, DIMM (UDIMM), 288-pin RAM sticks.  You can use 3200 (PC4-25600) RAM, which will "bridge" (down throttle) to 2666 MHz.

4.) No, this desktop does not support 11th gen processors, the best possible processor that could be fitted in an HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF is an i9-9900KS as I showed here: HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF Performance Results - UserBenchmark, but this requires extensive rebuilding, such as ramping up your internal cooling etc., so I would recommend either an i7-9700K or an i7-9700KF for maximum (gaming) performance.

5.) There is an HP CPU heatsink upgrade, and it has p/n: L04397-001 (L30413-001) "HP Heatsink Gen Intel 95W Ent18 S / HP SPS-HEATSINK INTEL95W ELITEDESK800 G4 SFF".  Mind you, these heatsinks are difficult to find and are expensive.  They work great though, as I fitted one in my HP EliteDesk 800 G5 SFF.

Kind Regards,
