I bought this pc (HP Elitedesk 800 G1 mini) with Chipset Intel Q87. I am trying to install M.2 Samsung 960 evo but this pc can;t support it.
i found to crucial site that the ssd P1 500GB is supported from this pc. has anyone opinion about this?

Hi,
I believe the PC does not support PCIe NVCMe M2 SSD and Crucial site is wrong.
If you look in the service manual on page 22 you can see that all the compatible drives are SATA drives. This is why the 960 Evo is not working and a 860 Evo (SATA3) should work.

Hope it helps,
David

hi thanks for your time.
If you go to page 51 at manual you can see that has onboard socket m.2 pci-e . Hp gives a model that supported but it is only 128GB and expensive
128 GB M.2 solid-state drive (SSD) 757990-001

Welcome to the HP Support Community @Str13
You are correct on both counts.
You do have an M.2 slot "Hidden under the fan" and the HP one is way too expensive!!!
Take a look at some of these.
Only 256GB but you could go upto 512GB.
You may want to check and make sure the slot is on the motherboard???
