A previous poster also asked the same question, but it was not clear what worked eventually for the poster. Hoping to get started on machine learning on an existing computer I have, before going higher end when I have the budget and after learning what i really need.

Which of the following Graphics cards will fit the HP Elitedesk 800 g4 SFF (please keep in mind that it is a SFF)?

Hoping to get either a

GeForce GTX 1050 ti (low profile) or

* GeForce GTX 1650 OC,

but any advice specific to the above will also be much appreciated. Thanks all!

@iwasdataframed,

Excellent questions, and yes, you are good to go with the graphics cards I mentioned, including the MSI GeForce GTX 1650 4GT LP: MSI GTX 1650 Low Profile Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database, which only needs a 250-watt power supply too, btw.

If your budget allows it, I would go for the RTX A2000 6GB GDDR6: Nvidia RTX A2000 for sale | eBay.

Kind Regards,

@iwasdataframed,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF should be fitted with a 250-watt power supply (HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Small Form Factor Business PC Specifications | HP® Customer Support -please verify), and -besides mediocre/low-end graphics cards, can be fitted with & power these graphics cards:

Nvidia RTX A2000 6GB GDDR6https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/rtx-a2000.c3820

Gigabyte GTX 1650 Low Profile OC 4GB GDDR5https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/gigabyte-gtx-1650-low-profile-oc.b7610

Or equivalent GTX 1650 Low Profile graphics cards.

Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GB GDDR5: GIGABYTE GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

Or equivalent GTX 1050 Low Profile graphics cards.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@NonSequitur777 Thanks very much for responding! I have confirmed the 250W power supply. With respect to the size, I think I measured 167-168 mm gap for the space where I have my existing GT730 card.

I note from the options and links you shared below, they are all 167mm and at most TDP75W and recommended PSU of 250W. I am sourcing from the used market due to limited budget, so am I right that as long as I keep to the three parameters above I should be fine?

Also, are 167mm, 75W and PSU 250W the maximum I should look at or am I able to look at eg.
https://storage-asset.msi.com/datasheet/vga/global/GeForce-GTX-1650-4GT-LP.pdf
MSI GeForce GTX 1650 4GT LP which is 168mm, 75W TDP but recommended PSU 300W? If 167mm, 75W and PSU 250W are the maximum I should look at, will search within those parameters.

Lastly, with respect to the NVIDIA RTX A2000 6 GB GDDR6, I cant seem to find any low profile card, and its supposed to be a dual slot card. Is there anything I should look out for on my HP SFF to ensure it can fit?

Thank you very help for your advice and help!

@NonSequitur777 I think our replies crossed when I tried to add a question about RTX A2000 6GB GDDR6. I noticed there isn't any low profile to this. Is three anything I should note on my HP SFF to ensure it fits?

Thank you!!!

@iwasdataframed,

If you are going to purchase an RTX A2000 through eBay, contact the Seller first and confirm that it is fitted with a low-profile bracket (it should), such as this LP purchase example: PNY NVIDIA RTX A2000 6GB GDDR6 Graphics Card | eBay.
