HP Elitedesk G3 SFF - question about the SD card reader

Apparently it has a place for it on the front - but I can't for the life of me get it open - I've pushed on it in several places

See attachment - is #2

Hi:

The SD card reader was an option, as your screenshot indicates.

Hardly any of the PC's have it.

You have a plastic blank covering where the slot would be.

The SD card reader plugs into an internal header on the motherboard labeled SD RDR and you will not find anything connected to it if you have the plastic blank where the SD card reader would have gone.

It would just be an open slot otherwise.

@Michael_Piziak

It is an optional part, did you buy this option ? Otherwise it is a plastic dummy and you may be able to remove it from inside.

Regards.
