Hello, I have some questions about upgrading my desktop tower.
I bought HP Envy 750-124 about three years ago. I've been using this for my illustration works and sometimes playing games. Recently, I have been thinking of upgrading my HP Envy 750-124 Graphic Card and SSD and here are my questions.
For Graphic Card, I am thinking about to install the Graphic Card (EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 3GB GDDR5). Would it be fit into my HP Envy desktop? If not, is there any recommendations for HP Envy 750-124?
For SSD, I am planning to buy it and then put it with my current HDD. Recently, I have found a Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD. I am not sure if it would fit into my desktop tower also because it was an SSD that I have never seen before. I want to hear some opinions about this and, if it could be fit, I also want to know how to install it.
Thank you.

the 300 watt supply is borderline for a 1060 video card, and may not work as some 1060 video cards can draw up to 120 watts
i recomend upgrading the power supply to a 450-500 watt unit if trying a 1060 based card, the 1050 series should be fine with your current 300 watt supply
changing a power supply and installing a video card requires just basic skills, and there are many videos on the internet showing how to replace either item, watch some of them before doing it yourself and i suspect you will not have any real problems

please review the HP quickspecs for your model, it should answer most of your questions

you will be limited by the systems 300 watt supply when selecting a video card due to the supplies wattage and the lack of a AUX GPU pwr cable
if you buy a SATA to 6pin GPU adapter (see link below)
https://www.amazon.com/Branded-8inch-15pin-Express-Power/dp/B005NJXY7O
you can safely install a nvidia GTX 1050 or 1060 card
you can not run a 1070 or higher due to the 1070 cards power draw
a nvme drive can not be used due to the motherboard only having one x16 slot (used by the video card) and two x1 pci-e slots as such you need to use a "SATA" based drive such as the samsung 860 EVO along with perhaps a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter

I see! Thank you for answering my questions about upgrading my PC!
I maybe did not mentioned about this but I am very new to upgrade my computer all by myself. Do you think it would be easy for the installation all by myself? Is there an instruction about installation of this graphic card with a braided SATA 6-pin?
