It's just my opinion.
Who can confirm it?
The manual indicated that HP offered 1 TB SSD's.
That's the only thing that anyone can confirm.

Hi:
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the notebook support PCIe 4.0 SSD's.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
According to the manual, HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in storage capacity, but I don't know of any reason why a 2 TB NVMe SSD wouldn't work.

Theoretically, there should be no limit to what size NVMe SSD you can install.
But there are unknown factors such as the BIOS' ability to support larger capacity drives (probably in excess of 2 TB).
I was reading one post where someone installed a 4 GB NVMe SSD and it didn't work.
He's going to try 2 x 2 TB and report the results.
If you don't feel comfortable installing a 2 TB NVMe SSD, then I recommend you go with a 1 TB drive, but as I posted the other day, I don't know of any reason why a 2 TB NVMe SSD wouldn't work.
That's the best I can do.
