Hello HP Community,

I’m facing a hinge issue with my HP Envy x360 laptop (Model: 13-bf0xxx, Serial No:Edited). The screen has started separating from the base due to hinge failure during normal usage. There’s been no accidental damage or mishandling.

After some research, I found that this is a commonly reported issue with several HP Envy x360 models — indicating a potential design flaw. Many users seem to have received free or goodwill repairs, even outside the standard warranty.

My laptop is still in great condition otherwise, and I’d like to request assistance from HP Support for a free repair or guidance on how to escalate this matter properly.

Any help from HP representatives or community members who’ve faced the same issue would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Dhrub Singh
