Hello, I have bought the docking station HP G5 with power supply and i also have 1 notebook and 1 desktop. I would like to know whether it is possible to connect this docking station to the desktop safely. I am afraid that it could damage some components in desktop.

Pardon me for asking, but why would you even want to do attempt doing that?

Docking stations are only meant for laptops.

KVM switches can be used for desktop PC and laptops.

I already own the docking station and I want to be effiecient in swapping between my personal desktop and laptop for work. I mean, I do not want to reconnect mouse, keyboard and monitors everytime.

In that case, a KVM switch is likely to be the most efficient way to accomplish what you want.
