HP Gaming 87D6 Motherboard (AMD B550A) from 4600G CPU to 5600G

Hello,

I found a compatibility CPU list for B550 chipset which include the Ryzen 5 5600G.

I checked that the power consumtion was similar to the current 4600G (65W), which is fine.

But, my first installation isn't very... "workfull"

Then, I discovered some thread and article :

And I'm lost : it looks like "Ryzen 5 5600G" is compatible with "B550" BUT the "B550A" would not be ?

Is it correct or I missed something ?

Unfortunately, if you got the Erica3 motherboard with SSID ("BaseBoard Product") number 87D6, these three processors are the only ones compatible with your desktop:

This is not a chipset restriction, but an HP motherboard BIOS/microcode limitation.

Also confirmed here with HP System Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1xxx Users: UserBenchmark: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1xxx Compatible Components, where all Erica3 (SSID: 87D6) platforms are fitted only with one of the aforementioned AMD processors.
