HP ProDesk 600 G5 Base Model Microtower PC

Device manager under DVD/CD-ROM drives Lists 2 items with problem.

1.- hp HLDS DVDRW GUD1N. "Windows cannot load device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Object Name not found."

2.- Realtek Driver Storage USB Device. "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Object name not found."

Is there a way to correct these problems. Tried to find drivers in HP Support site without luck.

All help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Sadnewbie.

Hi:

DVD drives do not have standalone drivers.

For the first issue, see if the Microsoft link below is of help to you.

Probably one of steps 4, 5 or 6 will resolve the problem.

Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs - Microsoft Support

You probably need the Realtek USB Media Card Reader Driver for the Realtek Storage USB Device, which I don't see listed on your PC's support page, so see if this one works:
