Just purchased this but the GPU is bare minimum to play RE2. Doing some research, I need a better Graphics card and a bigger power supply which apparently is proprietary to HP.
1. Am I able to upgrade to a 500w power supply, if so which brand(s) are compatible?
2. Which discrete GPU is compatible with my motherboard (Erica2)
3. Do I need more RAM (12GB currently)

Really like your ability to get to the point. Here is some help.
The RAM question is interesting as your unit has (1) 4GB and (1) 8 GB in dual channel mode. It should be matching pairs to keep that dual mode. It will use 8 GB across the 2 modules, then revert to single channel mode for the last 4 GB. Not my ideal.😦
Now if you were list the performance tab (Task Manager) for the CPU and Memory.
1) Idle --nothing. No loaded SKYPE, programs, nothing opened. The value will bounce to a low.
2) Open browser, then it is stable.
3) Open 3 other programs to load up system.
You would have some values of how much RAM is being used.
