You should taking a reality check at your expectations on the service life of a desktop motherboard.

The expected service life of a desktop motherboard just does not extend to the point where yours is.

No manufacturer warranties or supports their motherboard products to that length of time.

The reason is that there is a point at which the heat produced by the electrical current causes the electronic components to deteriorate at a certain number of expected cycles.

That is the reality in which enterprises base their IT equipment replacement.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.  My desktop can run the latest games on the highest quality settings at 1920x1080.  It seems hardly like I should expect it to be time to trash this system?

I've done a couple of upgrades about 2.5 years ago including a more powerful power supply and a huge video card upgrade.

It is unfortunate that actual motherboard manuals for prebuilt PC motherboards are unavailable.

Years ago HP required manufacturers to provide more details than is available now.

I wish you the best of luck!
