Hello, decided to refresh the thermal paste on a HP n40L. This has been a great little microserver still clicking along. The CPU thermal paste was pretty dry, cleaned away the old and purchased some arctic mx-6 thermal paste to replace it with. I removed the chipset heatsink, and there is pink thermal compound. I am having a time removing it, wish I left it alone. Now I have to replace it. Can I replace with regular thermal paste?
