Hi:
There are no hardware upgrades you can do to your PC to have it meet Microsoft's minimum W11 processor requirements.
That will only alter upgrading the memory if you plan on buying a new PC that has full support for W11 and not putting any money into your HP OMEN 870-007na.
However, you can install W11 on your PC, and I believe it will work fine.
If you are happy with your PC and if you are interested in installing W11 24H2 on your PC as is, watch this video, which is the easiest way to do it in my opinion, and I have tried many different ways to do this during the last 3 years.
How to install Windows 11 24H2 on Unsupported PC (Early Access) 2024 (youtube.com)
Download the W24H2 ISO file and use that (3rd option).
Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
You can download the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below. The top line is for 64 bit.
You'll have to repeat this procedure each October when Microsoft rolls out the new builds because a PC that does not meet Microsoft's minimum W11 hardware requirements will never automatically get the update to the next build.
Other than that, your PC will continue to get the monthly cumulative and other updates.
That's only a minor inconvenience to have continued OS support beyond October of 2025.

Here is the service teardown video for the model series which should be of help to you for upgrading the memory:
Removing & replacing parts for Omen by HP Obelisk Desktop PC | HP Computer Service
The PC has 4 memory slots and can support up to 4 x 16 GB of memory.

You're very welcome.
Then there is only this video which shows just how to replace the memory itself.
Replace the System Memory | OMEN by HP Obelisk 875-1000, 875-0xx, 870-xxx PC | HP
If you look at the title of the video, it indicates it is for the 870-xxx PC, which is your PC's model series.
Otherwise, there are the service guides on your PC's support page.

Thanks for your help Paul. I'll take a look inside my PC and check out the video again. It doesn't look that difficult to add memory, just making sure I get the right sort. I have 16gb at present so want to double that. Is it best to do this is same sized units? If you can give me some advice for this that would help too. many thanks.

You're very welcome.
The parts list for your PC shows that HP installed 8 GB memory chips in it, so I am assuming the PC has two of the four memory slots filled.
That presents a couple of options that you will have to decide upon.
If you never, ever plan on maxing out the PC, then just install another 2 x 8 GB memory chips in the two empty slots.
The Crucial memory report indicates that this memory is compatible with your PC:
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 UDIMM | CT8G4DFS824A | Crucial.com
You can buy the above memory chips on Amazon.UK as well.
The DDR4-2400 MHz memory chips will run at 2133 MHz because that is as fast as your PC's processor can run the memory at.
Your other option, if you think you might want to upgrade to 64 GB of memory in the future would be to install 2 x 16 GB of memory in the empty slots and you will have 48 GB of memory, which you can leave as is, or someday remove the 2 x 8 GB and replace with 2 x 16 GB.
Crucial RAM CT16G4DFD824A 16GB DDR4 2400MHz CL17 Desktop Memory : Amazon.co.uk: Grocery
I had a similar situation with a Dell Optiplex 7050 MT PC.
It originally had 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 MHz, and I decided to buy 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2400 MHz memory, so I have been running my PC with 48 GB of memory for the last few years and have no plans on ever maxing it out to 64 GB (unless someone gives me 2 x 16 GB of memory for free 😊).

Hi there Paul, thank you so much for the advice. I'm feeling more confident now. However, as my OMEN is win 10 I have been looking at upgrading to Win11, for which it seems the processor is not good, sothat will alter the RAM situation won't it?

Hmmm, yes certainly something to ponder eh? Thank you so much for your update. I'll have to take in the information you have provided after Christmas is over and decide on a plan, probably in the New Year now. I do have more confidence now and as the situation is not critical I have time to consider how best to proceed. Take care and have a happy New Year Paul.
