Hi everyone,

Wondering if there is any problems so far if I replace my 2 x HDD drives with 2 x SSD? I guess should be pretty straight fwd but just asking to make sure. Warranty still on.

What about cabling? Are SATA cables slower for what an SSD can perform? Any chance to connect SSD drives to motherboard avoiding SATA cables?

Asking from lack of knowledge.

Please, do correct me if I am wrong!!

Thanks in advance

Hello
To begin with, I do not recommend installing two SSDs.
An SSD is effective, especially if windows is installed on it.
The second disk normally used for storage, is very little useful in SSD.
That being said, can you check and confirm or not, because if that's right, I don't see what to change here.
I have this page produced, and there it is mentioned:

SSD de 1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2

SATA de 3 TB 7200 r

So there is already an M2 ssd and a sata 3 TB hard drive, it's a very good configuration like that!

Hi Prométhée,

Thanks for the info.

Yes, the system showing in the link you attached is the one I am talking about.

I agree with you. I am actually very happy with the configuration as it is but I do get the feeling the data transfer speed on the HDD is not as fast sometimes. I guess I will have to get used to it.

Thanks for your help!

This can vary depending on several parameters.
You have a m2 SSD which must be relatively fast, if the problem is with the SAta hard DIsque, then yes, this can be normal, the large capacity of the latter can be one of the causes!
You can at least try the hardware tests!
