Microsoft Windows 11

I'm inquiring on behalf of a friend as they're not very tech literate. He's thinking about upgrading his CPU, but I cannot find anything online about the chipset for the motherboard (OEM, big suprise). Does anyone happen to know what chipset of the "Motherboard M54219-001" and/or if it's capable of supporting anything greater than an i5 12th Gen processor?

@CloudUltimat,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

If your friend got this PC: OMEN by HP 40L GT21-0014 Desktop PC (575M4AA), which, according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-40l-gaming-desktop-pc-gt21-0000i/2100716056/document..., is fitted with a Blizzard motherboard (SSID: 8918) with has the Intel H670 chipset, the following 12th-gen Intel i7 and i9 processors are also compatible:

Mind you that the "F" processor versions do not have integrated graphics, you need a discrete GPU for these CPUs.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
