Seems I can't continue in my old topic. That's quite sad. NonSequitur777 helped me a lot but
still have one question.

He advised me to buy a :

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-dual-rtx-4070-super-evo-oc.b11625

or a MSI RTX 4070 Ti Ventus 2X OC that could fit to in the PC. I was waiting for drop price, but just saw that a RTX 5070 like this one :

https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/msi-geforce-rtx-5070-ventus-2x-oc-12-go-carte-graphique-5513615...

is cheaper or at the same price at my place. Can this model fit too and is compatible and what are the others one really good 5070 that can fit in the case too. 🙂

I saw the founder edition too, can it fit ?

Thanks a lot for the help.

@Myoubouh,

Yes, the (smaller-sized, dual fan) MSI RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC with a length of 236mm, is a great card and offered at a great price!

I mentioned the RTX 4070 Super at the time because the pricing looked good, but since the introduction of the RTX 50XX series for sale, a number of stellar 50XX deals are showing up -such as the model you referenced.

The recommended (minimum) power supply for an MSI RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC is 650-watt, make sure you got at least that much PSU-wattage in your rig.

A Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition's length is 245mm, and as always, check your case if this card will fit: I expect it will fit, but make sure.  The recommended minimum power supply for the Founder's Edition is also 650-watt.

In my opinion, a quality 750-watt power supply would be ideal for either card, though.

Kind Regards,

Hello NonSequitur777 hope you're still doing fine since last time ? And one more time thanks a lot for everything. =D

Of course your advice was really good at the time, but yes, these 5070 arrived and seems at a good price right now. 😄

I have in the computer 2 GTX 1080 Founders Editions I think their size are :

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-founders-edition.b10936

Should be okey, no ?

The Omen X came with a 1300 Watts power supply, if it's good or not difficult to say, but never had any problem until now even when I used them both at the same time with SLI technology. Each GTX 1080 normally need 500 watts if i'm not wrong, then one RTX 5070 should be easy for it. =D

You think the 5070 Founders Edition is better than the 5070 Ventus 2X OC ? There is another one than can fit wich would be better quality ?

Thanks a lot ! =D

@Myoubouh,

Thank you -yes, I am doing fine, as I hope you are doing too.

With a 1300-watt power supply, you can pretty much power any (single) card.

I don't think you would notice much performance difference between the MSI RTX 5070 OC card and the RTX 5070 Founders Edition, to be honest. Meaning, it probably wouldn't be worth the extra expense -unless, of course, you want a legendary "Founders Edition" card in your rig, because, well, it is a Founders Edition!

I would stick with the MSI card, or the ASUS DUAL RTX 5070 OC Edition 12GB GDDR7.

Btw, have you considered, say the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition 16GB GDDR7 or the absolute top-of-the-line Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition 32GB GDDR7?

Kind Regards,

I'm doing fine thanks, happy to know you are too. 😉

Cool for the power supply.

For the MSI o the founders editions I don't really care about the brand or the card, just want to try to put the best quality card in the computer, it's not just about pure power. 🙂

The Asus Dual RTX 5070 OC 12GB is the best one ? For the Asus Dual RTX 5070 seems it's still not available at my place to buy for the moment, maybe in some weeks. 😕

For the RTX 5080 and 5090 it's a bit overkill for my computer, no ? I would have loved to have more than 12 GB of memory in a 5070, but seems there isn't any. And a 5080 and 5090 are really big for my machine, no ? I think that the DLSS technology in these cards will be really cool to be able to enjoy gaming in a 2K screen with my computer for quite some time. 🙂

I saw these ones for the moment :

https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/msi-geforce-rtx-5070-ventus-2x-oc-12-go-carte-graphique-5513615...

https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/msi-geforce-rtx-5070-ventus-2x-oc-white-12-go-carte-graphique-5...

(They are the same, just a color difference, no ? The price is very different, i'm just not sure because the price is not the same and they are saying 33.80 cm long for the black one and 23.60 cm for the white one, but I think it's an error)

And of course the Founders Edition.

One more time thanks for the help. =D

@Myoubouh,

No worries, I have been looking into upgrading my graphics cards (RTX 3090 and RTX 4080 Super) as well, so this is a topic that interests me a great deal.

I mentioned the 5080/90 cards, because both the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition's length are 304 mm. Yes, this may be too long to fit in your case: you'll have to make a careful measurement to ascertain that.

Some of these large RTX 5080/90 triple fan cards are up to 360 mm in length, which is truly massive!

Anyway, I would go for the white MSI RTX 5070 OC card: for just 572.– that is an awesome pricing in my opinion -and likely not to last for long if historical precedence is any guide, and you would still be able to game in 1440p ultra settings beyond 100fps, I would imagine.

Kind Regards,

Thanks a lot for your help @NonSequitur777 😄 Sorry to keep you waiting. 🙂

I'll go with the 5070 card if I can as soon as possible.

I think the DLSS tech will be a way to cheat a bit around the fact that the computer is kinda old and will have nice results to be able to play in decent conditions in 1440P. 🙂

Yes the other cards seems massive.

P.S : The Asus went from 602 to 552 !

https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/asus-dual-rtx5070-o12g-gaming-12gb-gddr7-hdmi-dp-12-go-carte-gr...

It's now cheaper than the MSI. What's the best. ^^

@Myoubouh,

You are welcome -and to cut to the chase: I would pick the Asus dual-fan RTX 5070 over the MSI card.

Btw: 552.90 is an incredible pricing for an Asus RTX 5070 -I can't even purchase that card for that pricing in the US!

Verdict: yes, go for it.

Kind Regards,

NonSequitur777
