Hello, I recently got my hands on a barebones brand new Omen 25L case complete with all cables and rgb controller board but it does not show up in Omen Light Studio.
Attempts to use OpenRGB (which does detect it) just make it briefly flash the omen logo (which when powered and connected defaults to a white breathing effect).
I have seen others online be able to control the 30L which uses the same controller, as well as it typically shows up in Omen Light Studio for most users.
I would like to know what I may be doing wrong or how to resolve this issue.

Hi @Slimelord10,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand that your Omen 25L RGB controller board is not showing up in Omen Light Studio!
Try these steps:
Ensure HP SDK Components Are Installed
OMEN Light Studio depends on several backend services:
Go to the Microsoft Store and make sure the following are installed and updated:
OMEN Gaming Hub
OMEN Light Studio
HP System Event Utility
HP SDK Package
If not already installed, download OMEN Gaming Hub, and then from within it, install Light Studio and allow any plugin updates.
Connect the RGB Controller via USB Header (Critical)
The RGB controller must be connected to the USB 2.0 header on your motherboard, otherwise it won’t be recognized by OMEN Light Studio.
Double-check the controller’s small USB cable is securely plugged into the correct motherboard USB 2.0 header.
Without this connection, it may only power the default white LED pattern but not allow software control.
Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers
An outdated BIOS or chipset driver can prevent proper detection.
Visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website (if using a custom motherboard in the 25L case) and install the latest:
BIOS
Chipset drivers
USB drivers
Use OMEN Light Studio from OMEN Gaming Hub Only
Sometimes the standalone Light Studio might not work properly unless opened through OMEN Gaming Hub.
Open OMEN Gaming Hub > Light Studio, and check if your controller appears there under devices or lighting zones.
I hope this helps.
