I just purchased an Omen 30L GT13-1194 from best buy. It's advertised as having 16gb of RAM, and It does have 2 seperate 8gb Hyperex Fury cards installed. However, when I look at my system information, it tells me I only have 8gb of RAM available.
I ran BIOS, and it too says I only have 8gb. I tried reconnecting the RAM, changing slots, and even put them in one at a time to see if the RAM was faulty, but they both worked on their own.
I've tried getting rid of the memory cap on windows, as well as updating drivers for almost everything I could think of, I ran diagnostic tests in windows and in the BIOS and everything passed, but nothing seems to work.
Can anyone help me with this?

hi
Memory: HyperX® 16 GB DDR4-3200 XMP RGB SDRAM memory(97) (2x8 GB)
Dual channel (2 DIMMs per channel) memory architecture
Four DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
Supports up to PC4-25600 (DDR4-3200)
Supports 8 GB and 16 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
try a module in each slot
check if it works
then try the second module in each slot
if both work
try both, in different slot combinations
Even if preferably it must be in pairs..
Depending on the result, I advise you to return the computer to the seller
both modules should work one by one
and they must work together
if not a module has a problem, or the motherboard / slot defective

Turns out only the 2nd and 4th slot will read my RAM modules, 1st and 3rd won't. I put one in the 4th slot and powered on the PC and it read 8gb as to be expected, and then shutdown, added the 2nd RAM into the 2nd slot, and it finally read 16gb. The PC originally was bought with the RAM being in the 2nd and 4th slots, so I'm unsure why it originally only read 8gb, but inserting one at a time with a shut down in between is the only way I got it to work (In case anyone else is having the same issue) Thanks!
