OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t

With the an HP Omen 30l (OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t) could I upgrade the ram from the default 16gb to 128? On HP's product info page (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06999670) it says the DoradoAC motherboard maxes out at 64gb (16gb per slot). Online I have seen forum posts such as (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Desktops/upgrading-RAM-on-a-Omen-30L/td-p/8560440) that show omen 30l computers with 128gb ram... If I run wmic memphysical get maxcapacity in terminal, it says 64gb...

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Desktops/upgrading-RAM-on-a-Omen-30L/m-p/8560500/highlight/true... says that 128 would work on a similar system...

@prismce,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Yea, that was the UserBenchMark link in my post.

HP would probably say: "Trust the wmic command result."

However, as the link I posted shows that 4 x 32GB IS indeed compatible on an HP OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0xxx (SSID: 8703), what would stop you from ordering 4 x 32GB and try it out for yourself?  If perchance it doesn't work, return RAM to Sender, and get your money back.

Hope this was helpful.

Okay, so right now I'm waiting for the other 2x32 gig sticks to come. Right now I have 80gb (2x32gb 3600mhz, and 2x8 3200mhz sticks). Both are capable at 3200mhz but, they're both running at a painfully slow 2133mhz.

Also it takes way longer to boot, shut down, and sometimes the computer shuts down when it goes to sleep.
