OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

After trying to fix my windows, I am now stuck on a loop. I can't setup my windows after resetting because everytime I get a bsod with code "kernel_mode_heap_corruption" so I want to update my bios to try to fix this

However, since I can't boot, I need to do it through a USB, so I need to download it. On the download page it seems there isn't the correct ROM Family SSID. According to my bios, my SSID is 8876, while the download page has files for 8703 and 8704, which I'm assuming I can't use

My pc is the Omen 30L GT13-1646ND and it currently has bios version F.13

Yes.

The HP Recovery will give you fresh drivers which are compatible and a fresh OS installation.

This time do not install the R9 5900X driver from AMD since it was the beginning of all this grief.

Always use the full name for the processor if your desire is for it to be understood. AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.  Made up names are confusing.

UPDATE: I found the correct page. Turns out there is no new bios version, so I can stop trying that. The problem I have still remains though

I will explain what I did: my pc felt really slow, it even had trouble showing youtube at 480p without stuttering (while I have 240 mbps internet). I tried some things, but the problem I'm facing now started when I tried updating my cpu drivers. I downloaded the drivers from AMD's website, as I have the R9 5900X. After installing, I instantly got bsod every time it boot up, that's why I tried resetting it. However that does not work. How can I fix this?

The issue is a driver conflict with Windows 11.

If this happened after you downloaded the driver from AMD, that is probably the culprit.

I suggest using a restore point dated before this issue began.

See the article at the link to learn how to access system recovery from boot. You can ignore the blatant advertising on the web page.

Hi Erico, thanks for your message. Unfortunately, I can't get into recovery boot as I have already reset my windows. Every time it tries to start up it immediately gives me a bsod. I should also add that I've had this pc brand new since sunday, and there weren't any restoration points saved (I did check this)

I have tried resetting bios by holding Win and B while pressing the power button, but now all it does is beep and doesn't even show anything on my monitor anymore. What should I do now?

Are you able to get to the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics utility?

I suggest running the system tests

https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics

When you use Win + B you have to hold down the keys for sometimes almost a minute before the PC reacts. Release the power button. It should not be held down.

Hi Erico, I was able to run one of those tests before and it found no issues. It was a quick one tho (even tho it took 2 hours still)

Even after holding the buttons for a minute, it still keeps repeating the same cycle of 8 beeps and then staying silent for a few seconds. My mouse and mic rgb does light up in between but then goes dark again

I suggest doing a clean install of Windows using the HP Cloud Recovery tool with a USB flash drive.

Hi Erico, I have a status update for you. I managed to fix the bios thing by resetting cmos. Now I'm back to what happened before, which is:

1. Omen logo with loading icon and text underneath saying "introduction"

2. Blue screen of death saying "KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION"

3. After doing this twice, I get a blue screen which says "It seems Windows wasn't loaded correctly" with 2 buttons saying "See advanced recovery options" and "Restart pc" (the first button takes me to the reset options, tried this 4 times by now)

So should I still do what you just recommended to me with the HP Cloud Recovery?

Hi Erico, thanks for this! Took a little, but I was able to setup my pc normally again without issues!
