Hi, my hp omen 30L with a 3090 is having an issue when I put the graphics card under moderate to high load where it crashes. I often get this while gaming and always when rendering in gpu mode on keyshot. I continue to hear audio fo up to a minute but the display is receiving no signal. All the lights are on in the case but the lights are set to show various info about the pc and they all go haywire and show either no or really high load and temps.
I have tried many solutions I found on the web:
Updating BIOS
Changing power settings for GPU and CPU
Updating every driver under the sun
Downgrading every driver
Using different direct x versions - 12 causes the most crashes but all crash
And massively reducing quality of games
Only the final option works but defeats the purpose of buying a pc with a 3090 GPU
Any help would be massively appreciated

I believe your HP Omen 30L GT13-0XXX power supply is a 750 watt Cooler Master -please verify.
My feedback: an RTX 3090 is a power-hungry graphics card that can draw 370 watt when you’re gaming under high loads. Looking at a number of legit sources, the consensus appears to be that an RTX 3090 requires a minimum 850 watt power supply to function properly.

Do not get a Seasonic power supply
You really need an 850 watt as @NonSequitur777 recommended.

Best regards,

it's up to you, if the computer is under warranty, if it doesn't work, it should be repaired for free
But very likely that the power supply remains there
and if you replace the power supply yourself, it goes wrong, or it does not solve the problem (defective graphics card, or other)
Hp might no longer support the computer
And it won't be the first time you've seen it

Based on the customer feedback I found online, HP appears to have underpowered some gaming desktops such as your PC config.
Given the fact that your desktop is still under warranty, who am I to recommend changing out your PSU. HP is exceedingly unlikely to agree to a 850+ watt power supply upgrade, but that is precisely what I would do.
My recommendation [check dimensions (LxWxH) for fit]: https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Efficiency-Included-Warranty/dp/B08LP6WS35/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=...

CoolerMaster? Yikes!
There are better brands that Gamers and PC enthusiasts use.

Right. My friend, the point is that I strongly recommend an 850+ watt power supply for a gaming system fitted with an RTX 3090 GPU.
So, here is a (considerably more expensive) 850-watt power supply that ought to meet your standards: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-RM850x-Certified-Modular-Supply/dp/B079H5WNXN/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=3G2...

And no, upgrading a power supply unit is NOT going to blow up or would otherwise damage your computer.
On the contrary - Au contraire.
When a graphics card is forced to throttle down or is quitting due to power insufficiency, THAT may cause (permanent) damage to your graphics card and possibly could effect your entire system and you may damage more than just the GPU. If you wanted to, you could install a 1200-watt power supply -dimensional fitting permitting- in your HP OMEN 30L, and your PC would happily purr afterwards. Your computer components will only use the wattage needed, and nothing more.

you don't understand what i'm saying @NonSequitur777
that's not what i wrote
if you knew, since the time that I participate in helping in the community, and before in the French community (2009), I have seen all the colors
I'm not saying that replacing the power supply will directly destroy the motherboard!
But any intervention in a computer is not without risk!
I have seen users unable to restart after changing the memory module, graphics card or other components!
Hp refusing refusing support for computers under warranty, for x reason!
this is a dot!
then, if the user is ready to pay for the replacement of his power supply, to do it himself, or to ask a professional, it doesn't matter, it's up to him!
but I think it is normal to specify this to him!
moreover, I don't know where it comes from, but here in Europe there is a law, if the computer is not compliant, whatever the problem, that it cannot function normally!
It is the duty of the seller, to do what is necessary, the user, does not have to pay, for a product under warranty:
Therefore, if you are a consumer (see above) and your product has a lack of conformity which existed at the time of delivery and this defect appears within two years of delivery of the product, you have the right to claim :
At your choice, the repair or replacement of the product free of charge - unless this choice entails a manifestly disproportionate cost for the seller with regard to the value of the good or the nature of the defect, in which case the seller may then proceed according to the other method that you have not chosen;
The refund of the price (against return of the product) or the refund of part of the price (if you wish to keep the product), in the event that:
repair or replacement of the product is impossible, or
the chosen solution cannot be implemented (i) within one month of your complaint or (ii) without major inconvenience for you.
Please note that, unless proven otherwise, any lack of conformity appearing within twenty-four months of delivery of the product is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the product or the lack of conformity invoked.
I don't know about you, but if I buy a vehicle, and it doesn't move forward, I wouldn't change the engine myself.
do you understand what I want to point out now?
