Hi all! I made an impulse buy of an ssd expansion card plus a new ssd to give my stuttering graphics a bit of a kick.. installed it but BIOS isn't picking it up 😞 . My assumption is that the Omen's motherboard is not compatible with gen 4 nvme's. Trouble is I can't find anything in the HP documentation which tells me which gen it supports! Can anyone help me out here please?
Products I picked up are:
Samsung 990PRO SSD
Fedico PCI-E x-16 to M.2 NVME Adapter

PLEASE IGNORE THIS QUESTION! I reseated the ssd in the adapter and applied a little more force... I heard a horrifying? / satifsfying? *click* ... must have been about 0.1mm more in the socket than last time ... and now it works 🙂
