I have a HP - OMEN by HP Desktop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 - 1TB Hard Drive and i've owned it for about 9 months and it has ran amazing until recently it has started to run slow and i get not responding errors constantly on web browsers adn microsoft word and ect. My storage is not even clsoe to full and i have firewalls and all that anti-virus stuff. I shut down my PC everynight and never have it run/sleep for long periods of time. I havent been able to find any answers on this.

@nlavigne16 Try this first:
Before completing the troubleshooting procedures in this document, try the following steps:
-
Make sure there is at least 15% free space on the hard drive. For information about freeing up more space, see the Free space on the hard drive section of this document.
-
Update the BIOS. Refer to the HP support document HP Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS. If there is no BIOS listed for your version of Windows, choose the latest version of Windows from the drop-down menu and install that BIOS.
-
Update the graphics driver using Device Manager:
-
In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
-
In the list of devices, expand Display adapters.
-
Right-click the graphics device, then select Update driver.
-
Click Search automatically for updated driver software, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the updated driver.
-
Restart your computer to complete the installation of the updates.
