HP OmniDesk Desktop AI PC M03-0000i (A9UU1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I would like to do some gaming with my Omnidesk ultra 7 and would like to improve the graphics by adding a GPU.

Any idea what cards I can use? Think it only has a 300W power supply with no 6 pin. If I have to upgrade the power supply also is there a 500W one available? any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

@James2450,

You're welcome -and yes, an RTX 4060 would definitely be nice and gaming future-proof for years to come playing games at 1080P high-res/ultra settings.

Kind Regards,

@James2450,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

As far as I was able to ascertain, your HP OmniDesk Desktop AI PC M03-0000i (A9UU1AV) is fitted with a 280-watt power supply, such as seen in this model: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omnidesk-desktop-intel-core-ultra-7-16gb-ddr5-memory-1tb-ssd-dark-wo....

Please verify: open up your PC as shown here: Removing and replacing parts | HP OmniDesk Desktop AI PC M03-0000i | HP Support, and read the power supply's label.

However, there appears to be a 400-watt power supply available, such as fitted in this model: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omnidesk-desktop-intel-core-ultra-7-32gb-ddr5-memory-nvidia-geforce-....

To be honest, HP has made it extraordinarily difficult to find any specifics online as to part numbers, let alone availability/ordering possibilities.

If you got the 280-watt power supply and would like to upgrade to the 400-watt power supply, you'll have to take your chances and see if you can reach anyone at: https://support.hp.com/us-en to provide further light and knowledge.

With the 280-watt power supply, you could power one of the following graphics cards: RTX 3050 Low Profile 6 GB (with full size bracket), GTX 1650, RX 6400, or a GTX 1050 Ti.

With the 400-watt power supply, I would absolutely recommend a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060, such as this model: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-dual-rtx-4060-v2-oc.b11456.

Kind Regards,

Thank you, you are correct it is the 280W power supply. I will try to find the 400W unit, 4060 would be nice.
