Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a PC <HP P6-2119el> with <BIOS 7.14> where new installed <Video Card GTX 1050> freezes on Boot.

From Windows10 Information System the Motherboard specs are:

  • Motherboard Manufacturer: Foxconn
  • Motherboard product: 2ABF
  • Motherboard Version: 2.30

I updated to BIOS 7.16 for Motherboard <Cupertino2-H61>: PC is working but not with GTX 1050 card that always freezes on boot.

Reading info on technical sites seems that GTX 1050 can work on P6-2119el only from <BIOS 8.12> version

 

I tried to update <BIOS 8.12-A1-Rev. A> released for <P6-2100 series> and Motherboard <HP Compaq Business Desktop ROMPaq Fimware (ROM Family SSID#2ABF)> but , it does not update the existing BIOS version.

 

There is another BIOS version <8.19 Rev.A> for Motherboard: <HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 2ABF)> but I'm not sure is aka my motherboard and the BIOS note is: after this BIOS update installed, previous versions cannot be reinstalled.

 

My questions are:

1 .Can I install  BIOS version <8.19 Rev.A> for Motherboard: <HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 2ABF)> on Motherboard <Cupertino2-H61> or risk that if it does not work I cannot reinstall previous versions and use anymore the desktop?

2. Which is the correct BIOS selection as <motherboard type> and <version> to use GTX 1050?

No,
it is extremely risky, the product page, gives only the available version of this motherboard
Either, there is refusal anyway, as you noticed, but a risk all the same that it goes very badly and The pc may no longer work

 Motherboard Specifications, H-CUPERTINO2-H61-uA TX (Cupertino2)

there are different variations of model
the bios found must not correspond to the latter
