Now the search begins for you trying to locate an older graphic card. Once you find a card (likely used), you need to consider the monitor's input. Is it the Blue 15pin VGA, or does it have a DVI (white). The card you select needs that style connector, or you need an adapter. Then there is the PSU issue. Even the older Legacy cards present power demands that will exceed your original 300W PSU. Or I can suggest (from experience) a nice solution.
EVGA GTX 660 (used) and Corsair 550W PSU) with DVI-I to VGA adapter.
NOTE: The Corsair CX550 is only on sale for 2 more days.

You are correct, modern GPU cards (UEFIvBIOS) will not work.
That model shipping with one of the following: 300W, 460W or 600W PSU. Which do you have?
There were 4 Geforce and 5 Radeon GPU cards. Which do you have?
Then a recommendation can be made based on the PSU and original GPU card.

When you look at a new system, PLEASE come back and ask.
If you purchase the lowest configuration of some models, there is NO avenue to upgrade the PSU, or add another hard drive. The worst has been purchasing a low end HP 795 series. Ask before you leap !!
