HP PRO 3330 MT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I tried installing GTX1050 TI on my HP Pro 3330 MT with i5- 2400 processor. However, the computer doesn't boot. I tried searching forums and found many people have faced this problem. Is there any solution to this?

Thanks in advance.

@Akshay_93,

As your unit is circa August 2011, it is likely a "BIOS" based computer, and does not support UEFI. That is also based on the fact that those units were originally shipped with WIN 7 back in 2011. But you could verify my statement/comment by running this program and report back the "Boot Environment". The GTX 1050 is a UEFI card.  The Boot Environement must match. And "NO", if the report comes back as "BIOS", you have no upgrade BIOS path into UEFI. The only solution is to find a hybrid BIOS/UEFI card or install a GTX 660. But then you need a new PSU (550W) that would work with your old computer.

Thank you for the response. This being a proprietary machine, replacing the provided PSU is not a recommended  by many. So fitting a GPU apart from the ones listed by HP is as good as impossible. In my case, I have the option of buying another PC, but to any others who are looking for solution, I would recommend them to conduct a thorough research before buying the GPU.
