Hey all!
I recently purchased a Pavilion 590-P0069 desktop to use as a home lab based on the fact it said it can be upgraded to 32Gb ram. I purchased 2 Viper 16GB DDR4 PC4-19200 2400mhz Ram chips to install. Installed, turned it on and nothing but a blank screen. Can someone please verify that this box can truly support 32Gb of RAM or do I need to perform a BIOS update or something. If I can't get this to 32Gb i might as well return everything. Thanks!

Your attitude is somewhat harsh.
While I can understand your frustration, you came here, so I will help you.
If you have the Sunflower motherboard, it only has TWO slots for memory. (HP's error and also compounded by @DGroves). If either of you had delved into the Sunflower board, a glaring flaw would have been noted, The Support page only lists 4 and 8 GB modules, not 16GB (an error), in my opinion. As the HP 590-p0069 and the 590-p0024 both have the same motherboard, it is logical to look at the p0024 From there, you can then find Corsair 2 x 16 kit RAM modules for the Sunflower listed here for $273.99. ( I do not debate prices).
Corsair would not likely advertise the 32GB kit if it was not compliant with the unit.

do you have a 64bit OS installed? a 32bit OS is limited to under 4gb ram
your system does support 32gb max ram
if you have no experence in buying ram/matching existing ram i recomend you use a memory seller's configuration page to make sure you get compatable ram

Thanks for the insight, however i purchased the computer and ram together at bestbuy. There is not alot of choice when it comes to computer suppliers where I live. The fact that it doesn't even get lit up to even get to the bios screen omits any operating system question. Currently I have ESXi 6.7 installed.

sigh,....simply because you bought ram at the same place as the system is not a guarentee that the ram bought is the correct ram
there is this thing known as the postal service,...perhaps you have heard of it? crucial sure has and uses it to ship ram world wide
if you use the crucial link i provided, you will know that the ram being bought is compatable with your system
while most systems are forgiving on ram maker/type not every system is compatable with every brand/size/type

you know i came here for a little advise but instead i got a load of useless coments and sarcasm. While I do know what the "postal service" is maybe if you yourself looked up your precious Crucial site you can very well see even that site has no upgrades for the motherboard i purchased. So what is your professor advise now genius?

gee,.. i don't know how about contacting crucial support directly using their listed phone number..... your system is a new model so the website may not have been updated..... the support dept can also let you know if the ram you have should work
you can also do the same with HP via the phone or email and ask them for their recomended ram
you can also do the same with micron who also makes dimm modules
what i would not do is only say that i can only buy ram at Best buy, and don't want to consider calling/emailing to get ram and that the information i gave is useless

before i posted i checked the sunflower motherboard by looking at other models such as the
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-690-0067c
which also uses the sunflower motherboard
and the crucial site does list a 32GB ram kit for this motherboard
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-690-0067c
Ballistix Sport AT 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3000 UDIMM gaming memory CT13196394
- DDR4 PC4-24000 • 17-19-19-38 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-3000 • 1.35V • 2048Meg x 64 •
- upgrade for HP - Compaq Pavilion 690-0067c system.
and since BOTH MODELS USE THE EXACT SAME MOTHERBOARD, it stands to reasion that the 32GB kit will work in each of them, as such i don't think my information "compounded the problem"
