HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-a210t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-a210t processor to a I7 Processor. Can someone recommend the best I7 processor to upgrade to?

Can I use any I7 processor that is LGA 1151 socket?

Different Gen versus Gen 7 of the I7 processor?

Also after I upgrade the processor will I be able to upgrade memory past 16 GB's? I have 16 installed now but I would like to go to 32 GB's.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Wayne

You're very welcome, Wayne.

Yes, it looks like you can install 2 x 16 GB of DDR4 memory.

I think this memory would work for you...

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-a210t PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

The processor upgrade info can be found on the above link.

There is only one i7 processor you can upgrade to...the Intel Core i7-7700T

The crucial memory report for your PC indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB.

Installing the i7 processor would not change the max amount of memory you can install.

You may want to check to see if your PC already supports 2 x 16 GB of memory by running the command shown in the link below...

How to Find the Maximum RAM Capacity of Your Computer (maketecheasier.com)

If it can, you should see a value of around 33554432.  Here is a screen print of my report on a PC with 4 memory slots...

Sweet.. Thanks for the reply...

I did the command and I see the same value as you have on yours.

So it looks like I can go to 32 GB of memory... That's great...

OK on the processor. Just wanted to make sure if I had different options that I can take.

Thanks Again,

Wayne
