HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-3016 PCIe Serial Port Card does not work. This same card did work on my old HP Pavilion TP01-1026. Windows 11 reports "device configured (oem40.inf)" and "device not started (mf)" so it sees the card. I've tried a couple of drivers. I have another similar card that also does not work. The card installed is CH382 with 2 serial ports.

Hi @elegantpie,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-3016 PCIe Serial Port Card. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check that the card is properly seated in the PCIe slot. Sometimes a loose connection can cause the card to not work properly.
- Ensure that the card is compatible with your computer's operating system. Check the HP website for drivers that are compatible with your operating system.
- Check that the driver for the card is installed and up to date. You can check this by going to the Device Manager in Windows and looking for any yellow exclamation marks next to the card.
- Check that the serial device you're trying to connect to is functioning properly. Sometimes the issue can be with the device and not the card.
- If none of the above steps work, try installing the card in a different PCIe slot or in a different computer to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
