Hello,
I have a HP Pavillion Elite 150uk PC. It has a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GT 220, came as standard. I was wondering if this graphics card can be upgraded to another higher spec one?
My interest is:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile 4G 4GB GDDR5 Low Profile Cooling System Graphics Card.
So would need to know if this is compatiable and would fit nicely in the rig.
Also if you think the intel i5 750 processor in this rig needs upgrading to a better one? And what I would be able to update that to. I think the i7 880 would be okay, but mainly need help with the Graphics card. Any confirmation on the CPU would be helpful also.
Current core is:
Intel Core i5 750
Code Name Lynnfield
Package Socket 1156 LGA
Technology 45nm
Specification Intel Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz
My Mother board is: HP MS-7613 version 1.0.
My PSU is 460W.
The standard RAM speed on these PC's, as sold, is 6GB, I have increased that to 12GB.
Any further recommendations would need to work with my current motherboard.
I was trying to play a game, and its requirements were:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4570 3.20GHz
RAM: 8 GB
Video Card: (DirectX 11) AMD Radeon R9 270X 2048MB | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2048MB @1080P
So I need to meet those specs, but whilst being compatible with my motherboard.
Any help would be humbly appreciated.
Thank you
PS: Also in your response, if you could include a few options to a better HP Pavilion than that of the above. It would need to include a multiple card reader, as the one I currently have as standard.
But I would prefer any upgrade options as outlined above answered as a priority, as not due to buy another PC until later next year.
Thank you kindly.

Your concise and through inquiry is excellent. Now for the BAD news.
The original OS was WIN 7, with what is called BIOS. Newer GPU cards are UEFI. That said, the GT220 (2009) is BIOS. The GTX 1050, and its family, are all UEFI (any card Sep 2012 and beyond). It work never work.

Hi wb2001,
Thank you very much. Very disappointing to hear that, but thank you all the same for saving me money and the hassle from finding out the hard way, after purchasing the item.
This site stated it would work:
