Hi. I want to purchase and upgrade my GPU for this computer of mine. However, this computer is a compact computer and was wondering if I can even upgrade it at all. I plan to purchase something like a 1650 Geforce Gtx Card, upgrading from a Radeon 550M.
Thank you.

Hi,
You're very welcome.
I don't game.
This site (Link) recommends a GTX 980. This site recommends Omen gaming PCs having: 3070, 3080, or 3090 cards for best experience playing this game. These cards aren't going to work with your PC. You are looking at power requirement problems and the suggested graphics cards will not fit in your case.
This site (Link) compares a 980 to a 1650.
My take is the 980 is a better but older card. The 1650 may work but the experience may be disappointing.
I would not upgrade a graphics card given the current situation. The cards are way overpriced. Not a good time to buy a new graphics card.
Regards

Hi,
You can do a GTX 1650 provided it does not require a 6+2 pin supplemental connection from the power supply. Some 1650s require more power based on VRAM used. GDDR6 requires a supplemental PCIe power connection from the power supply.
Your PC has a 310 W SFF PSU which does not have this supplemental connection. You need at least a 400 HP PSU (HP PSU 400Watt ** --Part Number# L04618-800) if the 1650 you want requires more power. (Link) to HP Parts Store.

Thank you for the response. Is there any good graphics card that you know of with the supported power level? I want to have a better card than the AMD Radeon 550M mainly because a game I like, Rust, cannot really be supported by this card.
Edit: I was thinking maybe a 1050 Ti? I'm reading it needs 300 watts.
