I just purchased a Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0073w that has an Intel i5-9400F processor. I am using it for video processing and would like to replace the processor with the i5-9400 that includes the Intel UHD graphics processor. Both processors use the same socket and chipsets, so are there any technical issues with simply swapping the processor?
TIA

I am a little confused here. You have a GTX 1660Ti GPU now and want to go to the i5 9400 with Intel UHD 630 GPU? Are you planning on running more than one monitor and want the Integrated GPU for that purpose? Except for the Integrated graphics the CPUs are basically the same with identical specs and TDP. Also the MB has VGA and HDMI ports to support a CPU with Integrated Graphics. Possibly the only thing you need to check is for a BIOS upgrade for your system.

The motherboard has the ports so if you have onboard graphics (via the processor), you can make use of them. The i5-9400F does not include a GPU, but I don't need it for that since I have the GTX card. I need to GPU in the processor so I can encode video files faster - Adobe Premiere makes use of the GTX for renderng, but uses the Intel GPU for encoding - with the i5-9400 that has the GPU, I should be able to encode and generate videos faster...
