Hello,

I have a HP Pavilion Notebook Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-5010U CPU @2.10GHz  with installed RAM of 8.00 GB and it has become very slow.   I don't use it often but I have a need to use it now, so I would like to speed it up if possible by adding extra RAM or doing other things which you might be able to advise.

Would value advice on what I should do next please?

Thanks.

ok, your model is the following :

HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab043sa Product Specifications | HP® Support

has a second slot, and supports a total of 16 GB of DDR3L-1600 ram, then you can buy another 8 GB of memory and replace your HDD with a 2.5” SSD of the size you want to increase the speed considerably,
