Microsoft Windows 11

Hello. I am considering buying a HP Pavillion TP01-2234 desktop tower. My concern is the PSU that is installed with it. It is only 180 watts. Can a larger PSU be put in it that would be in the same form factor, or is this the only PSU that would be compatible with the motherboard this computer comes with? I'm guessing that if I ever wanted to put in a better GPU, it would require more power.

@ibcnu012,

Welcome to our user-to-user HP Forum!  According to HP's specs of the HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2234, this link: HP Partsurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=318G6AA shows that your PC's PSU is a 180 watt PSU (HP p/n L81008-800).  Your Erica motherboard on this chart shows compatibility with the 400 watt (HP p/n L04618-800) PSU:  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model...

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
