My new HP Pavilion TP01-2003na Desktop - Ryzen has a space for an internal optical drive but doesn't come with one installed. My mistake not reading the small print; silly me assuming there was a drive behind the cover. Any recommendations for best optical drive to buy in UK for me to retro fit?

You're very welcome, Rob.

If you can't find the part you need, you can always use a USB DVD-RW drive.

That's what I use for my notebook PC's that don't have DVD drives.

Hi:

I looked up the parts list for a similar model in the series that came with a DVD.

HP PartSurfer

You need this part:

L76886-001
Optical Drive - ASSY, ODD w/bezel_latch, Holmes

The part is not orderable from HP, so you will have to see if you can get it on the secondary market.

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

I checked on eBay, UK, and eBay US, but could not find any.
