1. “Why does my brand-new HP TG01-155ccn show as out of warranty?”:
This often happens when:
The warranty start date was auto-registered based on the original ship date to the retailer (e.g., Amazon’s warehouse or Amazon affiliated Seller), not your actual purchase date.
Fix:
You can submit a warranty dispute to HP to correct it:
🔗 HP Warranty Dispute Form
After entering your serial number, click “Dispute this” and upload your proof of purchase (invoice or Amazon order confirmation with purchase date).
Once reviewed, HP may adjust your warranty to start from the date you bought the system.
2. “How do I turn off the front green LED on the HP Pavilion Gaming TG01?”:
Unfortunately, the green front LED light on the TG01 series is not user-configurable via software or BIOS in most models. It is hardwired as a design feature and meant to indicate power and align with the Pavilion Gaming aesthetics.
Possible solutions:
Cover it with a small piece of black electrical tape or a dark LED-dimming sticker (Amazon sells these for LED control such as this purchase option).
- Use a black Sharpie marker to 'paint' the offending LED.
Open the case (if you're comfortable) and disconnect or mask the LED cable -however, this would void warranty and is not recommended unless you're experienced.
Kind Regards,
