Hello I have an old 2010 HP Desktop with important data and it can power on but leaves a black screen and does not boot, It has the factory set BIOS and am looking for a BIOS update as this appears to be the fix, The motherboard is MS-7613 Iona-GL8E. HP does not support this PC anymore.

Can somebody please send me the latest BIOS upgrade? Much appreciated Thanks

Hello
I do not have time to search, but if the motherboard is HS, this bios, may not be of use to you
In many cases, you can not use it if the computer does not start.
in the meantime, if you want to recover your data, you can remove the hard drive, buy a usb adapter, or place the drive in another computer

you can try

hi

"Hello I have an old 2010 HP Desktop with important data and it can power on but leaves a black screen and does not boot"

"

Prerequisites:

- You must be logged on as an administrator to install this update.

- You must have a Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Click the Download Only button.
  2. At the File Download screen, click the Save button.
  3. At the Save As screen, save the file to your Desktop.
  4. If a message appears stating that the file already exists, click YES to overwrite file.
  5. Double-click the icon for the update downloaded to your desktop, and then click NEXT.
  6. Follow on-screen instructions.
  7. If prompted to restart the system upon completion of the update, click YES and allow system to restart."

So @Kaf55   how is it looking
because as I indicated if the computer does not start it may not work, the installation must be done under windows with the .exe file

So if that doesn't suggest creating a bootable key from another computer, you won't get far
This being said you just wrote that it does not boot, with black screen
But does it at least seem to start, or nothing works, the button light does not change color?
Are you trying to access the bios?

otherwise, there is a newer version available directly from the hp site

If Windows does not open, use a second working computer with Internet access to download the BIOS update. Copy the update file to a USB flash drive and install it on the original computer.
