I'd like to add a third monitor to my Pavillion 590-p0024 desktop, and was going to install an additional video card. However, even the modest cards I'm looking at require a 300W power supply (the current power supply is only 180W). I'm told that due to the case not being a standard ATX size, that a normal power supply won't fit. Does anyone know where I can find a 300W power supply to fit this case?
The HP 590-p0024, as shown here, has a single PCIEx16 graphic slot. As you learned, the power units in these models is a proprietary design. This spreadsheet will guide you with examples. A new change: the L63964-004 has been verified to have a PCIe 6 pin power plug. You will have to do research on cards that support 3+ monitors, and aware/caution as to the types of cabling required (display-port/HDMI).

I just went through this with my HP Pavilion 590-p0025 (essentially the same PC). Luckily mine came with a 310W. If all you care about is 3 monitors, then there are plenty of GPUs that will run off of just board power.
