When I entered the S/N into the parts surfer website, it did not return any info.

HP Pavilion Slimline s5610f Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
It has two memory slots, and the max memory each slot can take would be 2 x 4 GB.
So, an 8 GB or 16 GB memory chip would not work in your PC.

When I first read the thread the OP had included the Serial # of the computer. I used it to find the model. Then, requested that it be removed. Not magic!! 😉
