HP Pro 3120 SFF IPIEL-LA3 power switch to motherboard connetion
02-12-2021 08:03 AM

Hello. I have a HP pro 3120 with IPEL-LA3 motherboard. All the internal wires were disconnected from the motherboard. I can not find where to connect the 2 pin power button /switch to the motherboard. The motherboard has a 9 pin front panel connector and I have tried that according to Intel's website for a standard 9 pin header on pins 6 and 8 without success. The power supply is working in another computer. There is a 9 pin connector coming from a front panel usb /card reader /audio panel and this seems to be for the 9 pin header on the board. The 2 pin button connector is not flat but has ridges like a cpu fan has rather that the common flat black two pin. I can not find where to plug this 2 pin power button on the board. Thank you very much for your time and attention.

Got mixed up, too late at night! The small tw pin connector is not the power switch, it goes to the back of the dvd. The on /off button is part of the 9 pin connector and goes on the board as marked. Thank you all.
